RDAB Holidays 2025 Lineup!

Somehow, we’ve blinked and landed in December again — the coziest (and one of the busiest) times of year for our community. And honestly? This might be the most magical holiday season we’ve ever put together.

We’ve packed the next few weeks with meet-ups, surprises, app updates, rewards, merch drops, activities and moments designed to bring people together — whether you’re raiding, strolling, laughing, just starting out, a hardcore player, or you’re just trying to catch something that keeps running away even.

Here’s everything coming up for RDAB Holidays 2025!

From December 1st to December 25th, open a new door each day right inside the RDAB app. There’s no chocolate… but honestly, the stamps are just as sweet.

Every day you’ll get:

- A daily stamp to spend on the catalog and as a memory in your Digital Passport,

- A heartfelt festive message (we leaned into the mental health side because December can be… a lot…),

- A cheerful and sparkly burst of holiday vibes.

Hit 12 doors and … 💥 you’ll get a digital code that awards the following: x1 premium battle pass, x1 incense, x1 incubator, x1 lure module.

Hit 24 doors and you’ll receive a community medal (once we get the feature rolled out) and be entered into a raffle to win a Christmas Charizard Plushie!!! (He is adorable, he is fiery, and yes… we all want one.)

Don’t worry if life gets too hectic - you can open the previous doors day on whichever day you’re on. For example, you can open the 1st door on December 1st OR December 2nd, but you can’t open it on December 3rd onwards.

The RDAB app is getting a glow up! And you’re invited to test it all.

We’ve implemented over 100 new changes, tweaks, features or improvements to the app… which means there’s about 1,000 bugs, glitches and oh-noes… right?!

Jokes aside, if you find something that doesn’t work - just drop it in a message to me on Campfire, my username there is @Tylae ! We will eventually have an in-app support service you can send your queries and concerns to, but that’s not ready yet.

There’s over 100 beta testers now on our app, and your feedback is genuinely shaping this project. We can’t thank you enough for helping us build this space.

This is our new home for updates, guides, recaps, and community stories. If RDAB had a fireplace, this would be all the mantle piece decor on top of it.

Trainers who attend our meet-ups starting in December can get themselves an RDAB membership card.

In the RDAB App, a new explore button has appeared: City Perks!

We’re testing this new service with two City Perks: x1 online one with T3D Designs and x1 In-person one with the Mayfair Pub & Kitchen.

We’re actively working with other businesses and partners to create more city perks for our trainers after the new year. It’s our way of supporting local businesses in the city, and rewarding YOU for being part of this community (and for being awesome)!

These are digital achievements baked in to the RDAB app, and you’ll be able to make progress on each of them by interacting more with the community, participating in our activities, or even just coming out to specific meet-ups!

You’ll be able to level up your medals through 4 stages: Bronze, Silver, Gold and Platinum! Sound familiar?

At each stage you’ll unlock rewards. Such as passport stamps, new avatars and backgrounds to customise your profile with, or even new themes for your passport.

We’ll share more on these with you when they’re ready to launch!

Later this season, you’ll be able to edit your community profile. This is a space where you can share your favourite passport stamps, show off your community medal progress, tell people a bit about you and drop your Pokémon GO friendship code.

Starting December 6th, younger trainers can finally collect their own passport stamps at meet-ups through the RDAB app.

The process is simple, a Kid signs up for the RDAB app (with parental consent !!!) and during a meet-up they open their app and tap the button to collect their stamp.

It’s that simple, and it starts during Community Day Weekend!

We’ve pulled together a very cute, very festive bundle of seasonal merch for this years festivities. Ice cream Pokémon plushies, pins, socks (lots of socks!!) and more! Merch may always go quickly, and because we’re giving out 25 passport stamps this month from the advent calendar to EVERYONE, they might go even quicker.

Keep an eye out on the app for when they launch, we will drop announcements on all of our socials and in community pages when they’re ready for redemption.

Two days, loads of featured Pokémon, festive fun, and some genuine community warmth. Oh, and freebies! Everyone loves a freebie.

Our CD Weekend meet-ups will feature:

1️⃣ Free “very special” check-in timed research on both days 👀

2️⃣ A community fundraiser supporting future RDAB events and Open Minds, a brilliant local charity! So bring your pennies (and pounds)!

3️⃣ Free RDAB and GOWA themed Christmas tree ornaments for everyone who joins us!

Community Day weekend always feels like the heart of the holiday season. So join us, brolly at the ready, scarves and gloves on, for big wholesome community vibes, shiny checks, and everyone pretending they’re not cold (and then complaining because they can’t feel their fingers, LOL!) 🥶 ❤️ 💛💙

⭐ RDAB Holiday Party ’25 — December 7th

The Mayfair, 5–8pm

Family-friendly, festive, chaotic in the fun way — quizzes, games, merch drops, trading, chats, and even a Christmas Cup themed PVP tournament that gets way more competitive than anyone expects. The reward for which is a £10 gift voucher! 😳

⭐ Gigantamax Snorlax Day — December 14th

Elmfield Park, 2–5pm

Many, many giant Snorlax. One hundred trainers. Eight-hundred max particles for checking in. (He’s huge. Like, genuinely silly huge. Like over 10x the size of a standard Snorlax, Huge.)

⭐ Celestial Research Day — December 20th

Elmfield Park, 2–5pm

Your mission is simple: Spin every stop in the city, complete every task, shiny hunt like your life depends on it. Check-in = premium items + a passport stamp. We’ll have more to share on Celestial Research Day closer to the event!

The group meets at Scarborough House Car Park on Chequer Road and wanders into Elmfield Park. Live locations are shared during these events.

1️⃣ December 10th: Kyurem

2️⃣ December 17th: Reshiram

3️⃣ December 24th: Zekrom (ft my birthday!! 🥳)

Check in to earn a free Raid Pass and a passport stamp. These Pokémon are big, they are strong, and they are really useful for something coming later this season 👀…

This seasons theme is all about choosing your journey — the snowy trail, the sunny coast, or the city glowing with winter lights.

We’re expecting big new Pokémon debuts like Clobbopus and Gigantamax Meowth, new costumes featuring Sudowoodo, brand-new feature drops and more this season — which concludes with Pokemon GO Tour: Kalos!

Whichever path you take, we hope it brings you new memories with friends, family and strangers who turn into raiding buddies!

Every December, we’re reminded how lucky we are to have a community like this. You show up in the cold, support one another, cheer for each other’s shinies, carry each other in raids, and make Doncaster feel warmer than the weather allows.

RDAB isn’t just about events… it’s about the people. It’s you.

And I for one feel genuinely so grateful to share another holiday season with this incredible community.
